To set up Mac OS X to dial in to the University of Oregon modem pool, follow these steps:

1. From the Apple menu select "System Preferences"
2. Click on "Network"
3. On the TCP/IP tab, select "Using PPP" on the Configure menu
4. Click the PPP tab
5. Enter the following information. (See the picture below.)
   • In the Service Provider box enter "UOregon"
   • In the Account Name box enter your UO email address
   • In the Password box enter your Duck ID password
   • In the Telephone number box enter 225-2200.
   
6. Click the Apply Now button and close the window.

This is the end of the configuration steps.

Dial in to Campus
To dial in, open the Internet Connect program and click the Connect button.

Once a connection is established, open your internet program (e.g. Firefox, Mail, etc.). When done, remember to click the Disconnect button.
