Login Information
At the UO, you have two sets of login infomation. The first is your UO ID and PAC and the second is your Duck ID and password.

DuckWeb
http://duckweb.uoregon.eduDuckWeb is an interactive web application. With DuckWeb, you can upload grades, check payroll and check vacation and sick leave hours. DuckWeb serves as the central management application for everything related to class management and finances.
Alphamail is the web email for all UO accounts. For more information on how your email works, visit the IT email page.
UOnet (wireless internet)
http://it.uoregon.edu/help/getconnected/To connect to the UOnet, select the "uowireless" network and open a browser window. You will be directed to a page to enter your Duck ID and password. Upon a sucessful login, you will be directed to the UO home page. For more information on internet access, visit the IT internet access page.
UO Guest (guest wireless internet)

Mailing Lists
Students, faculty and staff may manage their own mailing lists for official University of Oregon business, including research groups officially affiliated with the University of Oregon. For more information, please see http://lists.uoregon.edu/
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- WebVPN https://uovpn.uoregon.edu/sslportal
- VPN client http://licensed.uoregon.edu/vpn
Use VPN when you are using a computer off-campus and need to access an electronic resource that is restricted to on-campus access only. Communication between your computer and the remote VPN hardware is encrypted.

Research Grants: Technology Consultations
Information Services offers technology consultations to faculty and researchers during pre-award and post-award stages. Our Research and Instructional Technologist can help position your proposal to better meet grant requirements and thus be more competitive. Custom Trainings & Consultations
Information Services can custom tailor trainings and consultations to researcher needs, ranging from research data backup and security to specific applications. Contact: Sean Sharp, ssharp@uoregon.edu, (541) 346-8099.
Videoconferencing
Free high-definition videoconferencing – connecting up to 6 locations simultaneously – is also available on a drop-in or by appointment basis in the McKenzie and EMU Collaboration Centers. Contact: collab-mckenzie@uoregon.edu, (541) 346-4406.
Digital Toolbox – a technical reference library
Current researchers, students, faculty and staff may check out current technical references, manuals and trade magazines. The staff also researches and purchases new current media, including books, DVDs, and magazine subscriptions that are relevant to technology. Purchase suggestions should be sent to helpdesk@uoregon.edu.

Site Licensed Software & Volume License Purchases
Select software packages are licensed for use by all University of Oregon students, faculty, and staff. Home use is permitted on some. For more information, please see: http://it.uoregon.edu/help/sitelicense.shtml
Information Services also coordinates a number of volume software purchases for participating units and departments, including the ESRI GIS, LabVIEW, Mathematica, MATLAB, MathType, McAfee Antivirus, AutoDesk (AutoCAD), SAS statistical software, DeepFreeze, Ghost, Uniprint.

Duckware (Free Anti-virus and other software)
http://it.uoregon.edu/help/duckware/UO site-licensed software are available for UO students, staff, faculty and researchers at no charge. The discs contain McAfee anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-phishing applications for both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, Adobe Reader, the UO VPN client, and other applications commonly used by the UO campus community.
Educational Discounts
Faculty, staff, departments and students are eligible for educational pricing on hardware and software. In addition to the UO Bookstore, check OETC at http://oetc.org.
Instructional Resources
Scheduling the Collaboration Centers
Researchers, students, faculty and staff can use SMART Boards, (interactive whiteboards), for instruction, small group brainstorming, group work and presentations. SMART Boards are available in the McKenzie and EMU Collaboration Centers on a drop-in basis or by appointment for group presentation . On-site technical assistance is always available. Computing Labs
http://microlab.uoregon.eduThe UO offers serveral labs that are available to faculty, staff and students. The labs are equipped with printing and course related software. For more information on the computing labs (including hours and locations), visit the computing lab site.
Blackboard
http://blackboard.uoregon.eduBlackboard is a web-based course management system. It can be used to distribute class materials such as assignments, notifications and grades. It also provides online tools such as a calendar and address book.

CMET Consulting
http://libweb.uoregon.edu/cmet/consulting/CMET Consulting provides help for members of the UO community in both their research and their teaching. Services include educational technology training and consulting for faculty members and GTFs, and the Blackboard course management system. CMET frequently receive requests for Powerpoint, Blackboard and digitizing media for classroom use. Clickers are a being adopted in class and are best way to receive immediate feedback from students during instruction.

Teaching Effectiveness Program
http://tep.uoregon.eduThe Teaching Effectiveness Program offers a variety of activities and services to engage the academic community focus on teaching and learning, obtaining feedback on their teaching performance, and improving undergraduate instruction. TEP services are free to all who teach— faculty members, graduate teaching fellows (GTFs), staff and university departments. All consultations and midterm feedback services are confidential.

Looking for a technologically-equipped facility to host a meeting or reception? The Collaboration Centers in McKenzie Hall and the EMU provide technology event services and support.
