The following software packages are licensed for use by all University
of Oregon students, faculty, and staff. Information is provided
about operating system support, whether home use is permitted,
and links to more information about each software package.
There
are lots of other software packages that we get requests for,
such as SPSS, MS Office, Maple and others, but we are not able
to license them to due pricing or licensing restrictions imposed
by the vendor. If you are interested in sponsoring a site license
for a software package that is not listed below, please email sitelisn@uoregon.edu.
We can explore what options are available for licensing a particular
software package.
If you need a software package for your own work consider purchasing
from OETC or the UO
bookstore. Both of these organizations have very reasonable
pricing on PC and Mac OS software. The licensing terms on individual
software purchases are usually more liberal than site licensed
software and should allow home use without restrictions. Refer
to the license included with the software if you have any questions
about what use is permitted.
