Mailing lists allow a large number of people to easily share e-mail with one another. This process is managed by a mailing list management program. All e-mail messages are sent to this central program and then redistributed to the users on the list.
Information Services offers a Mailman list service. You can subscribe yourself to many of the Mailman lists, although in some cases a list may require owner approval for membership. You can also create and manage new lists--a responsibility not to be taken lightly--on our Mailman list server using your uoregon.edu address.
For faculty wishing to contact their students in a course, you can also use the campus Learning Management System (LMS) to send targeted messages. Log in to Canvas at https://canvas.uoregon.edu
