BCG policy: Resetting Banner PACs

Personal Access Codes (PACs) are “passwords” that enable access to academic information, update of limited personal information, and, for employees, access to personal, financial and benefits information.

Anyone may reset their PAC by answering a security question which they set up the first time they logged in to DuckWeb. Note: The current threshold for ‘disabling’ a user’s DuckWeb access is FIVE failed attempts. If an account is *disabled*, the user must contact the Registrar's Office or Human Resources to re-enable DuckWeb account.

Students requiring assistance in resetting their PACs should go to the Office of the Registrar where they will be required to show photo identification. The Registrar’s staff may then reset the PAC to the student’s date of birth. The student should be encouraged to access their DuckWeb account and change their PAC immediately.

Employees (faculty and staff) further requiring assistance in resetting their PACs should go to the Office of Human Resources, where they will be required to show photo identification. Human Resources staff may then reset the PAC to the employee’s date of birth. The employee should be advised to access their DuckWeb account and change their PAC immediately.
