Configuring UOWireless for Windows

To Connect to uowireless with Windows 7:

  1. Go to Start  > Control PanelClick Control Panel
  2. Click on Network and Internet Click Network and Internet
  3. Click on Connect to a network below the “Network and Sharing Center” header. This will bring up the wireless access points currently available around you in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Click Network and Internet
  4. Select uowireless from the list and click the Connect button.
  5. Once connected, open a web browser. You should automatically be redirected to the login page (wireless-auth.uoregon.edu).
  6. Enter your Duck ID and password.
  7. Click the Login button.

To Connect to uowireless with Windows Vista:

  1. Go to Start > Connect To
  2. In the Connect to a Network window that appears, click on uowireless then Connect.

Next, log in to our wireless network:

  1. Open your web browser. You should automatically get redirected to the login page (wireless-auth.uoregon.edu).
  2. Enter your Duck ID and password
  3. Click Login

To Connect to uowireless with Windows XP:

  1. Click the Start menu, go to Connect To and select your wireless card.
  2. The connection will be named either Wireless Network Connection or Local Area Connection. If there is more than one item in the list, look for the wireless icon:
  3. Wait 10 to 15 seconds. You should see a status balloon appear that states your computer is connected to uowireless.Wireless connection balloon
  4. Open a web browser to log-in to UOnet. Our wireless network will automatically direct you to the welcome page. Enter your Duck ID and password and click the Login button.UOnet login page
