This plugin allows you to password protect portions of a blog post. Rather than making the entire post available for the public to see, you have more control over who sees what with this plugin.

After activating the plugin, a lock icon appears in your visual editor menu bar. This lock inserts the password protection into your blog. A small window will pop up allowing you to insert a password.

In the body of your post or page, the password protected information looks like this:

[protect password="password"][/protect]

Any information placed between the two sets of brackets will be password protected and unavailable to users who do not have access to the password.

On the actual post or page, the password protected material is unavailable and is instead replaced with a field allowing you to enter the password. It looks something like this:
