The presenter is Steve VanDevender, a Linux Systems and Applications Administrator at Information Services.
 
Steve attended the recent LISA14 conference in Seattle. LISA stands for "Large Installation System Administration." USENIX describes its LISA conference as "the annual vendor-neutral meeting place for the wider system administration community." The LISA14 program (https://www.usenix.org/conference/lisa14) focused on five topics: Systems Engineering, Security, Culture, DevOps, and Monitoring/Metrics.
