Installing OneDrive for Business on Windows

The following instructions are for Windows versions 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.

1. Open a browser, go to office.uoregon.edu. Sign in with your full UO email address and password.

2. From the home page, click the blue Install link.

3. Scroll down and click on the Install button to start downloading the installer.

The following instructions are for Windows versions 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.

1. Open a browser, go to office.uoregon.edu. Sign in with your full UO email address and password.

2. From the home page, click the blue Install link.

3. Scroll down and click on the Install button to start downloading the installer.

4. A popup will appear prompting you to save the installer. Click the Save button at the bottom of the window.

5. After it has finished downloading, you will see the file at the bottom of your browser. Double-click the installation file.

6. A popup will appear asking you whether you would like this program to make changes to your computer. Click Yes.

7. Next you will see the window below informing you that the installation process is beginning. Click the Next button to proceed.

8. You'll be prompted you to accept the Microsoft Office License Agreement. Click Accept.

9. Following this will be a couple of screens introducing Microsoft Office. Click Next to continue on.

10. Soon you will see the screen below. Click the orange Sign in button.

11. The Sign in screen below will appear. Enter your full UO email address into the text bar, and click the orange Next button.

12. The next screen will ask you for the password for your UO email account. Upon entering it, click the Sign in button to continue.

13. Once signed in, you will be introduced to OneDrive. Click Next to continue.

14. The subsequent screen will prompt you to customize your version of Office. Choose a look and click Next.

15. In the lower right of your screen will be a small box that alerts you to how far along the installation process you are.

16. If you click the blue No, thanks beneath the orange Take a look button, the screen below will appear.

17. Once it finishes installing, the screen below will appear. Click All done! and then open OneDrive for Business.

18. Opening OneDrive for Business for the first time will bring up the window below.

  1. Go back to your online OneDrive and copy the URL.
  2. Paste the URL in the text box where it says Paste your library URL here.
  3. Then click the Sync Now button at the bottom of the window.

19. You will be prompted to sign in once more. Enter your full UO email address in the text box and click the orange Next button.

20. It will then ask for your password. Once entered, click the Sign in button.

It will begin to sync your online OneDrive with OneDrive for Business on your computer.

It will present you with the window below. Click Show my files... to inspect your newly synced files in OneDrive for Business on your computer.
