Configuring Outlook for iOS

This page explains how to configure the Outlook iOS application to work with your University of Oregon email. These directions work for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Choose the directions below based on which email service you're using for your UO email:

  1. Webmail (primarily students; also known as IMAP/POP)
  2. Exchange (most faculty and staff)

Webmail (IMAP/POP) users:

  1. Download and install the Outlook app from the App Store
  2. Open the Outlook app
  3. Tap ADD AN ACCOUNT
  4. Tap IMAP
  5. Under Email, enter your full @uoregon email address
  6. Under Password, enter the password for your @uoregon email account
  7. Under Display Name, enter the name you wish people to see when you send an email
  8. Optional: Under Description, enter a description for the account (for example, "Uoregon")
  9. Tap LOG IN
  10. Either swipe through the quick tour and tap GO TO INBOX, or tap the black X in the upper right corner of the screen

IMAP Settings

 

Exchange users:

  1. Download and install the Outlook app from the App Store
  2. Open the Outlook app
  3. Tap ADD AN ACCOUNT
  4. Tap Exchange
  5. Under Email, enter your full @uoregon email address
  6. Under Password, enter the password for your @uoregon email account
  7. Optional: Under Description, enter a description for the account (for example, "Uoregon")
  8. Tap LOG IN
  9. Either swipe through the quick tour and tap GO TO INBOX, or tap the black X in the upper right corner of the screen
