IT Snapshot: Students Rate Instructors

This article is the eighth in the weekly series, IT Snapshots. New articles are published most every Friday.

In the last IT Snapshot, we examined what software students use in class.

This week we turn to students' assessment of their instructors. The chart shows students' responses on questions about:

  • how well their instructors use IT effectively in class
  • whether instructors give students adequate training
  • if they think instructors have adequate IT skills for carrying out course instruction

In 2009, the University of Oregon began participating in the ECAR Study of Undergraduate Students and Information Technology. Today's data were gathered in the 2010 Study of Undergraduate Students and Information Technology. For a complete set of ECAR charts, see IT Snapshot of UO Student Technology Use.
