Product Information

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is for reliably viewing, printing, and commenting on PDF documents. It's the only PDF file viewer that can open and interact with all types of PDF content, including forms and multimedia.

Adobe Acrobat Professional (v. 11, 12, & 12.1) is part of the campus subscription and allows end users to fully edit, merge, and manipulate PDF documents beyond the read-only function in the free version mentioned above.

Obtaining the Software

For the free version (everyone), go to the link in "Software Available for Download" (below).

For Faculty/Staff/GTF's:

Contact your department's IT administrator for access to Adobe Acrobat Professional. If your department does not have access yet, IT administrators/department heads are advised to contact the site license coordinator via http://service.uoregon.edu to obtain departmental rights to Adobe offerings.

For students who want Acrobat Professional and other Adobe products, Adobe Creative Suite can be purchased directly from the Adobe website.  Adobe does offer an education discount with proof of academic affiliation. See http://www.adobe.com/education/purchasing/education_pricing.html for more details.

Licensing and Restrictions

The full Adobe Creative Suite is only available to university faculty/staff at this time for use on university-owned machines and lab usage. At this time, we do not have the Creative Cloud Storage feature and we are only authorized to use the Creative Cloud Apps. Students may access the software through a university-owned lab machine only and will not be able to download the software on their personal devices unless they purchase the discounted version on their own. Keep in mind that we are required to maintain a 60/40 ratio of Adobe Acrobat to Creative Suite downloads. Meaning, for every 4 machines that has CS downloaded, 6 more require acrobat to be installed.
